First day of Teaching.

FIRST DAY AT THE UNIVERSITY!
Last day of May.

Team time in the morning.
Ps. 37:3-4 "Trust in the Lord and do good. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him, and He will act."
The morning after Sophie got really sick. We were all shaken up about it and prayed really hard for her healing and recovery.

We walked to the university which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. It was great walk to make in the mornings.
We helped in a fifth year class. They showed us the power point that they made of Santa Cruz words with the definition translated into English. It was so cool to learn the Spanish words and slang that they use here.
Met Rosa and Diego and Rodrigo and other first year students.

Ate at Alexanders for Lunch.
Met some really cool people from Israel named Natasha, Eyar, and Rotem. :]

Had our first Spanish Lesson with Luis. He refreshed us on how to greet and say goodbye to people we meet here. I learned that you shouldn't say "Adios" when telling someone goodbye b/c it's like saying "Bye forever, I won't ever see you again." I was like whoops. I've been telling people I see everyday Adios... haha. Instead we are supposed to say "Chao." or "Nos Vemos" which means "We'll see each other" :]
Afterwards we hung out more on the Campus meeting more students and getting to know the one's we'd met last week a little better.

Then,
We ate at this Irish Pub for dinner. Anna Magee and I shared a vegetarian lasagna.
It was SO yummy.
They started playing New York by Rihanna and I felt like we were in America. :]

We all walked back to the hotel and then had team time! We went through the first chapter of More Than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell. It's all about Jesus and why He is more than just a humble carpenter from Nazareth but is the Son of God.
2 Cor. 5:9 Our aim is to please Christ
2 Peter 1:5
Make every effort to add to your faith---that goes to sanctification not to justification. He's glorifiying Himself in us. (How cool is THAT?!)
What Makes Jesus Different?
-He claimed to be God. Said that He and the Father were one.
-Son of Man
-Had the authority to forgive sins
-Fullfilled prophesies
-people couldn't find fault in Him
-Other people/disciples said He was God
-Name meant God
-Had enemies

*Faith does not know what it is being led but it knows and trusts the one who is leading.
*The object of our faith in our intimacy with the Lord! :]
