Second day of teaching.

A NEW MONTH!

The best line in My Utmost for today was: "It's easier to work for God than to work with God."

Our class that were supposed to help teach in got canceled. So we just hung out on the campus talking with students and inviting them to come to lunch at cine center with us. :] Love it!

Cine Center for lunch. (We go to the cine center which is this cool place kind of like a mall with a food court, a movie theater, and some shops. We provide pizza for the students and also do a bible study with them) The bible study at the table I helped lead went really well. We are all supposed to have an American and a Bolivian leader with us, but there is a shortage of Bolivian girl leaders so I had to lead by myself. But it wasn't bad at all b/c the girls at my table were all 5th year students who spoke English really well. Praise the Lord. I don't know what I would have done if I would have had first year students.

Spanish Lesson at 4:30.

We learned how to introduce ourselves and give some basic information about where we are from, how old we are, what we do etc. We also learned some insults in Spanish (so we'd know if we were being insulted). Interesting....

Team time. We went through Ephesians 1 together. Very interesting conversation! :]

Here are the main points that I gathered from the conversation and were able to write down:

-Ephesians is a book written by Paul to the believers at Ephesus while he was imprisoned.

-Ephesus was a port city, they were famous for the temple of Diana/Artemeus

-We are children of wrath destined for hell w/out God's grace and peace.

-Christ redeemed us through His blood. Just as Boaz restored Ruth. Back to her former/ original position

-Sin is a short cut without suffering to the glory that God has for us. (Heb. 11)

-God was the justifier and the just at the same time (1 Cor. 1:15-23)

-Christ is the crux of EVERYTHING (Romans 8:29)

-What God intended to be a pillow for the heart do not make a stumbling block for the mind!!!

-God's penalty for sin is giving us to sin

-God is just in that He chose any of us at all

-He working for His glory

-We are to work for God's glory NOT for mans. We must side with the compassion of God above the compassion of man.

- We must get over the right to ourselves!

-We are called to be stewards of the WORD OF GOD not of the way that we were raised*

-This is our comfort:He's got us in His hand.

-He is GOD, His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. We are never going to be able to get our minds around it or be able to figure it out. :]

Good thing I know that now, B/c I surely can't figure it out.
